How to Set a Default Printer

Manually changing printers in the print dialogue box every time you wish to print something? Thankfully there’s an easier solution. In just a few steps you can set your computer to use a certain printer by default.

To start with, Press the “Windows Key” and “R” simultaneously. This will open the following window:

Now, type “control printers” into the window before clicking “OK”

Finally, right click on the Printer you wish to set to default and click “Set as Default Printer”

If you did this right you should now see a green tick on the printer icon.
